The Island Community Chorus has created the Peter R. Boak Scholarship to support the college education of Vineyard graduates pursuing musical studies. Because the scholarship is administered by the Martha’s Vineyard Community Foundation (previously The Permanent Endowment of MV), information about the scholarship and an application are available on its website. Peter R. Boak Scholarship Recipients
The Peter R. Boak Scholarship, honoring the beloved Founder/Music Director of the Island Community Chorus, was established in 2002 and is given annually to a graduating senior pursuing further studies in music. Applicants must have a permanent Island address and be students of the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School, the Martha’s Vineyard Charter School, a private school, or be home-schooled.
